Badass tour FAQs

Have a question about our tours? Whether you’ve already booked or are still thinking about it, you’ll find the answers to our most frequently asked questions here.

Where does the tour start?

Our e-scooter tours start at our Badass Office: 10 rue de Pontoise, 75005 Paris. It’s centrally located, just south of the Seine River, not far from Notre Dame. We start and finish at the same spot.

The Nearest Metro stops:
Saint-Germain-des-Prés (Line 4) or Mabillon (Line 10)

Please aim to arrive 15 minutes before the tour begins to allow for possible transport delays. Keep in mind – Taking an Uber or Taxi is often very slow!

What happens if it rains?

Our tours go, rain or shine!

Make sure you check the weather forecast ahead of time and dress accordingly. In the event of a downpour, we provide ponchos free of charge. That said, we do try to avoid it as it isn’t the most sustainable option 🙂

The weather in Paris changes quickly, so the forecast you see 5 days before your tour may not actually be accurate on the day your tour arrives.

What should I wear?

Wear what you feel is appropriate for the weather. It can be very hot in the summer and rainy in the winter. Long flowing dresses should be avoided, as they can get in the way when operating your scooter.

High heels aren’t allowed as they can damage the surface of the scooters and risk injury. Plus, they’re not very comfortable to ride in anyway!

How large are the tour groups?

Our maximum number of participants in one group is set at 10 riders. This is to make the experience more enjoyable and personal for those on tour!

We like to think of the BIG tour groups as McDonald’s, and we’re more like Home Cooking 😎

For larger groups, such as corporate events or parties, please get in touch via our Contact Us page, and we will get back to you within 24 hours.

Who can participate? Age limits & requirements

This tour was created with the intention of including as many people as possible! However, there are some limits that are beyond our control.

We can only accept guests who are a minimum of 14 years old, as per French Law. There are no exceptions to this law. This is also built in as part of our booking process so that nobody may unknowingly reserve a space for a child under the legal age for which to operate an e-scooter.

It is important to note that this is an activity that requires the use of your legs, both arms, and fingers (to operate the accelerator and brake functions). For any guests who may have difficulty using any of their limbs or digits, we would advise that you contact us in advance to discuss your options. We are always happy to try to accommodate anyone who wishes to take part, if we can.

Do your tour guides accept tips?

Yes! We encourage participants to tip if they feel that they had a great experience with their guide. They give it their all to entertain and educate our guests on every single tour.

How long are your e-scooter tours?

Our tours typically last about 2.5 – 3 hours. However, there are factors that can lead to your tour running a little longer than expected (such as the group having too much fun).
Please inform your guide if you have scheduled something that might mean you are time-conscious, and they will be sure to accommodate.

What’s your cancellation and refund policy?

Our tours allow for 100% refunds up to 24 hours before the tour departure time. After this point, it is necessary to contact us directly to try to arrange rescheduling of the tour, but this is subject to availability. You can learn more about our cancellation policy here.

What language is your tour in?

Right now, all of our tours are conducted in English. We hope to expand and add tours in other languages in the future.

Do you need prior e-scooter experience to join?

Nope! In fact, most of our clients have never been on an e-scooter before. You’re likely to find that they’re surprisingly intuitive and easy to use. We start each tour with a short how-to and safety brief. We have a safe, car-free space where everyone will practice before heading off.

Do you supply helmets?

Yes! All riders get a high-quality helmet. Every single helmet is cleaned and disinfected between rides. Our scooters also have a small bag on them, where you can place personal items like your phone, a bottle of water, or sunscreen.

Is there anywhere we can leave our bags?

If you have a backpack, purse, coat, etc., we have a safe, locked space that we can hold your items for you during the ride.

Still need help?

Please reach out to us via our contact us page, and we’ll get back to you right away 🙂
